From about four years old, many children discover one of the joys of a holiday: the kids’ club. Games, crafts, new friends and, for parents, a little time to rest. Almost every family hotel in the Canary Islands has one, but they are not all the same. These are the ones we have selected, island by island, and what to ask before you book.

Gran Canaria
Gloria Palace Amadores has a mini club for ages four to twelve, a Splash Park and a teens’ club, and Hotel Cordial Mogán Playa a mini club for four to twelve with a children’s pool heated in winter. In the Taurito valley, Mogán Princess & Beach Club has a kids’ club for ages five to twelve, and Maspalomas Princess a mini club from age four.
Tenerife
Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife has the Roxity Kids Club, for ages four to nine, and Teen Spirit, for ten to sixteen. In Puerto de la Cruz, Hotel Las Águilas has a Mini Club for four to twelve and two-bedroom suites, and BLUESEA Puerto Resort a Kids Club and daily entertainment.
Lanzarote
Seaside Los Jameos offers a daily Mini Club for ages four to twelve facing Los Pocillos beach, and Bakour Lanzarote Splash a Kids Club for four to twelve with a children’s water park and pirate ship.
Fuerteventura
H10 Tindaya, in Costa Calma, has a Daisy Club for ages four to twelve, a Splash Park and two heated children’s pools; the Elba Sara Beach & Golf Resort, in Caleta de Fuste, a Mini Club and a children’s pool; and Alua Suites Fuerteventura, in Corralejo, its Astro Club.
La Palma and La Gomera
La Palma Princess has a Mini Club for ages four to twelve, and Hotel Jardín Tecina, in La Gomera, its Palmito Club for four to thirteen. In Los Cancajos, H10 Taburiente Playa offers a playground and entertainment.
What to ask before booking
It is worth checking the club’s opening hours, whether it runs every day or only on some days, whether you need to sign up in advance and whether children need to be out of nappies.
